About us

I know it sounds corny, but we’re in the smiling business.

When we frame a memory, or a beautiful piece of artwork for a client it always puts a smile on their face.

And when we think about them hanging it somewhere special in their home, walking past it every day and perhaps lifting their spirits a little, it puts a smile our faces too.

Now that’s not the only reason we got into this business, but it’s certainly why we’re so passionate about it.

Respect for the craft, none for convention.

We took over an established, and truth be known - a little tired - picture frame shop in 2018. We’ve always loved art, but had very little knowledge of what we were getting into. Turns out that’s a good thing.

We learned from the amazing Christophe, our head framer, who brings over 20 years of experience in professional picture framing, art curation & restoration.

But we also learned, when you’re not steeped in tradition you can bring a fresh perspective to an ancient craft.

We cut out sub-contracting, took back control and challenged every rule along the way. Now things are done, just as they should be.

So with experience and passion, dedication to craft but not to convention, we’re doing things a little bit differently.

And our clients are loving it ⟶

Framing for everyone, and everything.

We also realised a lot of people were put off by picture frame shops. Perhaps accidentally, however there was air of exclusivity we felt was uncalled for.

And there’s always someone who can tell you what’s art, and what’s not.

What’s in vogue, and in style at the moment.

Our attitude is - don’t listen to them!

Art is subjective. And it’s determined by you. No-one else.

If you want to frame your toddler’s first painting, then go for it.

Why not give it a beautiful bold frame, and hang it in your hallway.

Be true to yourself. Be good to yourself. You deserve it.

Our aim is to continue the tradition of beautiful, custom picture frames, and introduce it to as many people as possible.
